Pulsation supervision is held in both an eastern medicine and radix frame, in the philosophy and in the concept of energy, aliveness and there being a life force within all human beings, and a life force that runs through all that is alive in the more than human, that we are intricately connected with. We can view this within the human form as qi/ki/radix and we see it in the categorisations that we use to identify patterns, types, elements and character that we can observe as a consequence to overwhelming and painful experience, and as a consequence, of frozen history stored in the body, we can view the different ways that the individual interrupts this life force, changing their embodied experience, and limiting their creative adaption.

We can learn to observe this in the imbalances and the challenges our clients/patients come to us with to change and be supported for. We learn to view it in the observation of their pulsation and aliveness. Within yin and yang, in the five elements/phases in the different typologies that are available.

As practitioners/therapists/facilitators we learn through these two frameworks, both radix and Chinese medicine how to balance and prevent, how to resource and give ourselves selfcare, how to receive and allow for nourishment and support, to have sustainability, longevity. We learn to flow, to trust in the our own and others processes unfolding, in our own embodiment and presence and aliveness. A balance is sought between ‘being’ and ‘doing’, contact to self (feeling) and contact to other in expressions of our embodiment and life in connection to our environment (purpose). We are energetic beings, the concept of qi/ki/radix is a lived, experience not a concept. We are an alive organism. That understanding becomes a felt knowing, a resource to us, as we learn to reconnect, to that trust in life processes, within our own process, and within our clients/patients capacity to heal and to know.
